Dr. Evelyn Hu-Dehart

Dr. Evelyn Hu-DehartEvelyn Hu-Dehart is Professor of History at Brown University and is also affiliated with the Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race in America (CSREA).

She has been Professor of History and Chair of the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and has also taught in the City University of New York system, and at New York University, Washington University at St. Louis, the University of Arizona, and the University of Michigan. She is also the recipient of an Honorary Degree from Notre Dame University. She is the author of three books and numerous scholarly articles on her current research on the Asian diaspora in Latin America and the Caribbean. She has written on the politics of multiculturalism.

Her scholarly and professional contributions are extensive, exemplary, and incredible examples of how each of us can make a difference in Higher Education, nationally, and globally. Evelyn Hu-Dehart inspires, educates, teaches and leads, and her work exemplifies the importance of transnational, crosscultural, and interethnic connectedness.
