Tom Jackson, Jr.

Dr. Tom Jackson, Jr. has been at Texas A&M University-Kingsville since May 2000. As Vice President for Student Affairs he oversees all student affairs, enrollment, and special TRIO programs.

Tom is a veteran of the United States Coast Guard Reserve and Army National Guard, and an active officer in the Texas State Guard. He also serves as a faculty member in the ACPA Mid-Level Management Institute and the NASPA Region III New Professionals Institute. He is a member of the ACPA Senior Student Affairs Officers Practitioner program, and secretary/treasurer for the Texas Council of Student Services Vice Presidents.

Dr. Jackson has held a variety of student affairs positions in six universities, including serving asan if Dean of Students at McMurry University (Texas). He earned his Ed.D. in Educational Management from the University of La Verne, his M.S. in Counseling from Shippensburg University and his B.S. in Business-Human Resources from Southwest Minnesota State University.
