Patrick G. Love

Patrick Love is Associate Professor in the Higher Education Program at New York University. He has also held teaching positions at Kent State University, Syracuse University and Indiana University.

Dr. Love is the author of more than 25 journal articles or book chapters, and four books or monographs. His leadership roles in professional associations include Chair of ACPA’s Professional Preparation Commission, and participant or chair of numerous task forces on current issues in the field.

While Patrick is well-known as both author and program presenter, he is particularly praised and admired for his passion and commitment to teaching and to his students. One of his colleagues says of Patrick: “…having one’s students talk in such a respectful, appreciative way is reward enough for a professional life well lived.” Another sums up the thoughts of many whose lives he has touched: “Patrick Love is, for me, the person who reminds me every day why I love this field.”
