Florence Hamrick is Associate Professor of Higher Education at Iowa State University. She is a prolific author and frequent invited speaker/presenter at higher education professional conferences throughout the country. She serves as Chair of Doctoral Dissertation Committees and supervises Masters Thesis committees on a regular basis; and is the current Editor, Journal of College Student Development. Flo also has served as Principal Investigator for more than 20 grant projects. She provides her expertise to professional organizations by serving as a reviewer for research papers and scholarly presentations. She is the recipient of the Robert Shaffer Distinguished Alumni Award from Indiana University Higher Education and Student Affairs Program and the Emerging Scholar Award from ACPA.
