Gretchen Metzelaars is Director of the Stamp Student Union at the University of Maryland--College Park. The highly regarded National Clearing Houses for Leadership Programs and for Commuter Programs are both housed in the Stamp Student Union. She promotes the 'scholar-practitioner' role of student affairs and created a Senior Scholar, Study of Leadership in partnership with the National Clearing House for Leadership Programs. This is a national study of student leadership outcomes based on the Social Change Model and has provided data to support leadership programs across the country. Gretchen also is an active member of both NACA and ACUI. Gretchen is currently serving as the Major Speakers Chair for the ACPA 2008 Atlanta Convention Planning Team.
